Candidate must be highly motivated, quick learner, and be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Strong C and assembler coding background (C an asset). Candidate must understand netoworking concepts and protocols, operating system concepts including process synchronization, virtual memory and interrupts. Understanding of device driver and networking concepts is also required. Experience with VxWorks, Nucleus, and Linux an asset. Candidate should have implmented multiple device drivers in a previous roll.
Experience with Linux or VxWorks is required. TCL scripting language experience is an asset.
8 years experience; BSCS, BSEE or equivalent required, Masters

Job Description: Work with Software, Hardware, Architecture and Design teams to define requirements and architecture for future generations of switch systems.
Work with other team members to define and implement API functions for network devices.
Design, develop, test and support of Ethernet PHY drivers and Switch drivers as well as APIs to control and configure Ethernet switches
Work with systems design groups to support new platforms and configurations. New platforms included new generations of Netowrk devices, new Processors subsystem designs, and different board level characteristics
